Feeling overwhelmed and humbled to have been awarded the COVID19 Hero Accounting Award, at this year’s Accounting Excellence Awards.
If you’ve been following us you’ll know how much we’ve been doing to look after small businesses during such a difficult time. So it really is truly humbling to be recognised for this.
We do this because we genuinely care and understand what you’re going through. One of our Core Values is “Act with Happiness and Love” and this year has been no greater time for us to live into these values.
Here’s a little bit of what we’ve been doing for you.
What the judges said
The judges made reference to our earlier win in the Client Service of the year award in 2017, and said “Pocock utilised these caring techniques to make small business support “something of a personal crusade”
They were impressed by Pocock’s weekly Zoom check-ins, and live Facebook updates which their clients called a “lifeline” and a “comfort blanket”. From the beginning, Pocock cleared her calendar to offer complementary action plans, while the firm triaged the client base to offer more targeted support.
However, the firm’s biggest achievement was recognising that the team’s health and wellbeing must come first. To keep the morale up Sharon sent her team gifts and treats to keep the spirits up and to ensure they felt valued.
